It's fall here in Michigan, my favorite season.
As I took a walk today on a local nature trail I was able to admire the beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red falling from the lofty trees.
The earthy smell of autumn hit my nose as I strolled through the woods. I thought, this is why I love fall, well along with...
bonfires, pumpkin (everything), sweatshirts, football, and my favorite spiced tea!
I've tried a number of spiced teas over the years but couldn't find one that resonated with my palate. So I decided to mix some of my favorite spices and herbs to come up with a tea that worked for me.
Enjoy!
Keep in mind you can always play around with the recipe adding or subtracting from the ingredients to make this your signature tea.
Sabrina's Spiced Tea
2 Cinnamon Sticks 10 Cardamom Pods (green) 2 Tbs Spoons Coriander Seeds 2 Tbs Fennel Seeds 10 Cloves (optional) Add the above ingredients to a tea pot (if you don’t own a tea pot a regular pot works fine). Add 1 liter of water to the pot and bring to a boil, as soon as water comes to a boil lower heat and bring to a simmer. Allow ingredients to sink to the bottom of the pot. Tea will be concentrated/strong and should be diluted with hot water when served. Dilute each cup to your taste preference. Serve with Raw Honey, Raw Sugar (Turbinado), Raw Agave, Stevia
